Week 6 February 16-23

For this week's blog, discuss the following with your classmates:

1. Your initial meeting with your client, highlights, roadblocks, challenges, etc.

2. After reading Chapter 6, what components discussed in the chapter will you add to your home page?

Week 5: Feb 9 -16

Work for this week:

1. Contacut your client to get initial information about the project. (ITP 251 students: Remember Systems Planning Phase? This is that!) Determine client's expectations with respect to time available.
2. Participate in this blog by telling us the date of your appointment with client and the reasons you had for selecting the project you selected. I selected this project because... Share with your classmates your feelings about contacting an unknown client.
3. Read Chapter 5. Apply Concepts learned in Chapter to your website.
4. Update your website to include the use of CSS through external stylesheets, preferably a Dynamic Web Template (DWT). You MAY use templates, etc, etc to make your website.

(If you haven't selected a project yet: Pick project from our website: student.germanna.edu/Sutton; select Projects tab. Visit Week 4 blog to ensure project has not been taken. Post your selection on week 4.)

Web Site and Web Projects

1. Select your Project: View our student website: http://student.germanna.edu/Suttona
Click on the Project Request button. Scroll down the list and find a project that you want to work on. Report back to this blog the project you select. Scroll through all student entries on this blog. If the project was already picked, then you must select another project.

All projects are awarded on a first come basis, as determined by the time/date you report your selection on this blogsite.

You may select a project of your own. If you do this, describe the project as fully as possible in this blog for my approval.

2. Read Chapter 4.

3. Create a personal WebSite (multiple pages) using the skills you learned in Chapters 3 and 4. Visit a tutorial and incorporate the skills you learn in your website.
